House Sitter

1. have all directions written out and preferably printed so they’re very clear. feeding instructions, walking/potty break instructions, how often they can be left alone if at all, what times for feeding/potty, where to dispose of waste, etc. you can also include notes about when your trash day is, if they can bring in mail, water plants, etc., if needed, but make sure those things are all discussed beforehand in the meet and greet.
2. show your sitter where everything is located during the meet and greet and make sure everything they need is easily accessible
3. for a senior dog, have an emergency plan in place. make sure your sitter has your normal vet’s info, as well as en emergency vet.
4. let the sitter know of ANY behavior or health issues, quirks, dislikes, etc. you may think you’re overloading with info but honestly the more details, the better in my opinion.
5. Emergency contact person.
